Manufactured in Surat, Gujarat, India
From husk to hold,
spun for the world.
Earthweave manufactures washed cocopeat and twisted coir rope for growers, distributors and makers across 40+ countries — from our own decortication units to your port of entry.
01 — Products
Two fibers, one husk.
Everything we make begins as coconut husk sourced from coastal collection centers, then separates into two product lines — the pith becomes growing medium, the long fiber becomes rope.
Cocopeat
Washed coconut pith, compressed into blocks, briquettes or grow bags. Repeated washing stabilizes EC before drying, giving a low-salt, high water-holding medium with a consistent expansion ratio batch to batch — built for commercial horticulture and soil-substrate blending.
Coir Rope
Twisted from graded bristle fiber into 2-ply and 3-ply rope, natural or tarred. Used for horticultural staking and trellising, marine fendering, agricultural packaging, and décor or craft manufacturing.
02 — Process
Six stages, husk to hold.
Every batch moves through the same sequence, tracked from the collection center to the container — so a block of cocopeat or a coil of rope ordered today matches the one ordered last year.
Husking
Fresh husks are sourced from coastal collection centers within days of harvest, before fiber quality begins to degrade.
Defibring
Mechanical decortication separates the long bristle fiber from the pith, the raw material for rope and cocopeat respectively.
Washing
Pith is washed in repeated cycles to remove natural salts and stabilize EC before drying.
Grading & spinning
Fiber is graded by length and color; rope strands are spun and twisted to the specified diameter and ply.
Compression & coiling
Cocopeat is hydraulically pressed into blocks or briquettes; rope is measured and coiled to length.
Curing & packing
Product is sun-cured, quality-checked against batch specification, and palletized or baled for container loading.
03 — Specifications
